| As the process of balancing urban and rural development is proceeding, "to promote the agricultural and rural developments with industries and urban areas" will trigger a radical change in rural areas-the planning and construction of modern agriculture industry parks. Establishing modern agriculture industry parks is an effective path to push agricultural transformation, accelerate agricultural restructuring, and build new socialist villages. The introduction of advanced technologies, the service system and the tourism market would turn agriculture into a scientific, ecological, intensive, commercialized and socialized industry. Modern agriculture industry parks not only develop the agriculture and protect the ecological environment, but also exploit more profitable sources and increase the agricultural growth. The ongoing trend is not simply an agricultural park or creation of the booming countryside travelling, but a comprehensive agriculture industry park integrating agriculture, R&D, sightseeing and trading together.Firstly, the paper analyses the types, features and functions of agriculture industry parks on the basis of the theories, such the origin, background, development of agriculture industry parks, for clearer elaboration of the related issues about these parks. Secondly, the paper makes an analysis of the existing agriculture industry parks in domestic market and sum up the planning, developmental pattern and arrangement of those parks. Thirdly, in accordance with the above analysis and theories, the paper lists a series of theories and practices suitable for planning the agriculture industry parks in China. Finally, in the light of the analysis of the Landscape Planning of the Sanmen County Modern Agriculture Park, the paper uses the practical case to further discuss the landscape planning of the agriculture park and tries to make a full elaboration on the planning and design theories of the landscapes in agriculture development parks.
