| Wind power, as one of renewable energy, develops like a raging fire at home and abroad for its good commercial prospects. However, wind energy is a kind of random and intermittent energy, so it can not provide a steady power output and has poor reliability. It will take some impact on the reactive power and voltage, system stability and power quality during the operation. Further, the most of the wind turbine which is already running are based on induction generators and the system needs to provide a lot of reactive power support. Therefore, the study to improve the stability of wind power to curb the power fluctuations of wind power fluctuations and voltage fluctuations and to improve the stability of the system with wind power and other issues become the important issues which is urgently need to resolve. In this paper, the application of superconducting magnetic energy storage system in wind farm has been studied. This paper mainly researches the following content:(1) For the world's two main wind turbine types:constant speed wind turbine based on common induction generator and variable speed wind turbine power unit based on doubly-fed induction generator mathematical model is derived and the modeling and analysis, then the built models are analyzed separately.(2) Switching function method were used to establish the VSC-type SMES and CSC-type SMES more accurate state-space model to arrive at SMES in the synchronously rotating d-q coordinate system of the transient model for the same time DIgSILENT/PowerFactory software simulation platform to build a simulation model.(3) According to the principal of decoupling control, a control model of SMES is designed, then the correctness of proposed model and feasibility of control tactic are validated through simulation.(4) The corresponding simulation results based on the actual area power grid show that the application of the SMES can smoothing wind farm active power fluctuations, enhance the transient stability of wind farm and improve the frequency response characteristics of wind farm. |
