High-rise building is the needs of social and economic prosperity, the product of scientific and technological progress. With the use of high-rise buildings functional requirements and the increasing complexity, a growing number of high-rise buildings in a high degree rising at the same time, structure are also changing. The new connected structure is developed in response to these changes. Two or more towers will be connected into a whole in high connected structure, which not only gives us a new vision, but also is convenient to use but to the great difficulty of structural design. Because of the connector, the former independent each monomer structure is a part of a complex system, and the former independent vibration each monomer structure interacts under earthquake action, and the mechanical reaction is much more complex than monomer structure and multi-tower structure without connector. And the phenomenon that the coupled vibration and torsion increasing is appeared. Then, the setting of connector changes the dynamic characteristic of the structure. Therefore, this article uses the large-scale structure finite element program SAP2000 combines an example, with the connector as a structural analysis of the focus and starting point, analyzing mainly the dynamic characteristics and seismic response of the different connection, connection position and the number of connector.According to different connection mode for the connector and towers, connected structure is classified into strong connection mode and weak connection mode. When the connection mode for connector and two towers is rigid connection or articulated connection, it is strong connection mode, the connector can assort with two towers and they can bear force in common. When the connector is so weak that it can not assort with two towers and cannot make two towers work in common, the connection mode can be weak connection, it is that, one end of connector is connected with tower building by articulated connection, however, another end of connector is connected with tower building by rubber isolator support, otherwise, two ends of connector are connected with two tower buildings by rubber isolator support. At this time, two towers work independently, and the force of connector is little.The dynamic characteristics of the unsymmetrical connected structure is investigated which combines a modal by using Eigenvector Method. The effect of the removal of the connection or not, different connection, connection position and the number of connector is deeply discussed. Then compare different structural model by Response Spectrum Method, the results will be analyzed. Using Linear Time-history to contrast verification. Finally we can find the regularity of the connection port, connection position and the number of connector.Using nonlinear time history analysis of the model by adding non-linear connection support in contrast to the linear structure with connection changing, which the damping effect of the connection support structure significantly.Finally, this article gives a simple conclusion on the study, points out the further study direction and specific work to be completed.
