Children's Hospital Out-Patient Health Care Environment "Humanity" Design Method

In the today's society which economy continues to grow, science and technology rapid progress and people's quality of life gradual improvement, child care and love has become more and more prominent and important. Children are the continuation of human life, hope for sustenance and the future of society. Children's health Growth has become the focus of society as a whole, thus professional buildings and variety of sites used by children of this special group came into being, Children's Hospital design and construction is extraordinarily unique and important in various types of children's buildings. Proceeding from the national conditions of China in 1992, issued a " China's Children's Development Plan in Nineties ", which is China's first child as the main body to promote children's development of the national action plans. In recent years, child survival, protection and development have been made historic progress. It is clear that since the 20th century 90's child's medical Treatment level has been more greatly enhanced. But with the development of China's market economy people are not satisfied with simply improving the medical standards but also began to devote more attention to the medical environment.In China the status of the Children's Hospital environment is not optimistic especially the out-patient departments. The out-patient is the gateway to a hospital it plays a vital role in the medical buildings. Because of its architectural features more complex a considerable portion of China's children's hospital out-patient department in the design process always emphasis to solve their construction problems such as solve basic functions, organization various flow lines and so on, but with little regard for this particular group of children which led that there is not any different between a general hospital and Children's hospital, of course, of which there are many children's hospital in itself is modified into a general hospital. There are some out-patient department at Children's Hospital also taking into account factors of the children but at the superficial form, just do a number of decorative articles or created a number of atmosphere similar to playground, such as Sea World, cartoon theme park, etc. These explorations are too superficial and whether these will truly meet children's mental or conducive to rehabilitation of children has yet to be refined. Moreover, the majority design of our out-patient children's hospital often from large scale, emphasis on appearance package and shared hall but ignored scrutiny the highest rates use of the various departments and lack of human detail. Ignoring the user's psychology but met the appearance of vanity and even some of Children's Hospitals are blind pursuit of modern building which show modern and cool .But neglect the environment, greening and other areas which conducive to people's health because of factors such as shortage of land. Some hospitals in order to solve the traffic problem will change yard space to a parking lot. There is no green and induce the entire hospital outpatient space for cold, chaotic and no life. In such environment, how can the children's medical rehabilitation and how can the medical staff work contentedly?At this article we would take Women health center and Children's hospital of Shanxi synthetic ward as an example to investigate the measures and ideas about out-patient department's human nature. Through analysis its function, constraints and the problems in the space environment in the past and the systematic study of users in hospital whose process of behavior and psychological when they in the course of use hospital to seek a reasonable layout and organization of space, and rational use of architectural design techniques and ultimately to create a humanity space environment for children and other users which can meet all their physical, behavioral and psychological characteristics needs, in order to make children's hospital buildings can not only meet current functional requirements but also can well adapt to the future development and change and become a spatial patterns of child health which is healthy, harmonious, ecology and sustainable development.
