Professor Zhou presents the concept of using the ribbed steel plate in the concrect tension side (RSPC)-to solve the problem which the stress is very large and decreases rapidly in some local areas. The thesis are summarized in the following aspects:①The experimental researches on the flexural members behaviors of the RSPC have been designed and completed. The experimental results show that compared with the RC structures, the anti-crack performance, are improved about 2 times, and crack width significantly reduces.②Using the principles of the concentrated force crack arresting and the energy release of Griffith, the paper analyses the mechanism against crack of RSPC from macro and micro aspects.③The research shows that, with the constraint of the ribbed steel plate the nominal ultimate tensile strength and nominal ultimate tensile strain has been increased. The simplified tension stress-strain relationship of the RSPC composite structures has been gotten.④Through experimental study and theoretical analysis, this paper presents the simplified calculation model of the RSPC ultimate tensile strain, and the calculating methods for the ultimate tensile strain and cracking moment.⑤The anti-crack performance of the RSPC will not increased unlimitedly with the increasing of the height of the steel plate. This paper put forward the reasonable height of the steel plate.⑥To solving the problem which the stress is very large and decreases rapidly in the cantilever beam of overhanging structure, the RSPC construction drawing design has been made. The research shows that the RSPC have a good effect in improving the cracking moment and decreasing the width of the crack. And the construction difficulty will not increase.
