Study On The Foundation Subsidence Of Abutment Reinforced With Jet Grouting Pile

The foundation is the important premise for guarantying the safety and stability of buildings or structures; it plays the extremely vital role. Therefore foundation must have a certain strength, stiffness and stability. Especially for the weak foundation, ground settlement calculation is one of the main contents of foundation engineering, and it is also one of the three problems.High-pressure jet grouting is a new kind technology of processing soft soil foundation, this kind of technology is applicable to the reinforcement of building's foundation, prevention of subsidence, tilt, permeating, and liquefaction and foundation uplift, etc. High pressure jet grouting technology has many virtues, such as simple equipment, construction convenient, fast, and save materials, high efficiency, low cost, simple operation, wide application range, etc. It can be used for reinforcing the abutment soft soil foundation, decreasing greatly settlement of abutment ground.This paper is on the background of abutment foundation reinforcement engineering of Fuyan Bridge, using the theory of foundation consolidation settlement and finite element software, calculating and analyzing consolidation settlement deformation of abutment foundation before and after jet grouting pile reinforcement.â‘ After reinforcing by using high pressure jet grouting pile, the comprehensive stiffness of abutment soft soil foundation is improved. When composite modulus is improved by five times of before reinforced, the final foundation settlement is lower to 1/5.5 compared to the value before reinforcement.â‘¡Abutment soft soil foundation is only reinforced in its periphery, and then when the compression modulus of foundation is improved four times, the corresponded ground settlement can reduced to 3/5.â‘¢The numerical analysis of three-dimensional finite element shows that the settlement of pile soil composite foundation calculated with pile-soil interface is 1/12 more than the settlement without pile-soil interface.â‘£Through the calculation and analysis of abutment foundation consolidation settlement of Fuyan Bridge we know that the hypostatic fixed arch is very sensitive to ground settlement. The uneven settlement of foundation caused vertical and longitudinal cracks in the abutment and arch ring, which takes the safe trouble to the normal operation of the bridge. It is an effective and available way that using jet grouting pile to strengthen the abutment foundation and improve foundation integrated stiffness.
