Several kinds of sensible consumers are widely used in the electrical system. This causes a lot of reactive power in the power grids and lowers the quality of power supply,especially the rural medium-voltage power grids.Because of the length of the transmission lines,the number of distribution transformers. This also brings down the quality of power supply and makes the transmission loss heaver.Therefore,the optimization of reactive power is of great importance to improving the voltage quality and reducing the transmission loss.This paper combines with synthesized sensitivity of distribution network's load node voltage to choose the installation point of reactive power compensation equipment.a practical optimization strategy is showed by research on the current situation and characteristic of reactive power compensation device. and then the theorial feasibility and correctness are verified through the 26-node and IEEE-30 node bus system.
