I-Type member of sine wave corrugated web is a new steel member which has a good stiffness, strength, stability and a reasonable volume of steel. With the theory of I-Type beam of sine wave corrugated web becomes mature and the application becomes wide, this new kind of member in our country is bound to gradually recognized by people and applied to a variety of building types, so as to achieve the goals of security, appliance and economy. Therefor, the loading mechanism and the economy for I-Type beam of sine wave corrugated web have important theoretical significance and engineering applications.Based on the results of previous studies, the mechanical models for I-Type beams of sine wave corrugated web were established, which were considered axial pressures, bending moments and shear forces. The mechanical characteristics of I-Type beam of sine wave corrugated web were cleared:the flanges bear the axial pressures and bending moments, and the sine wave corrugated web bear the shear forces. And analyzed the buckling performance of I-Type beam of sine wave corrugated web under uniform loads,the results show that I-Type beam of sine wave corrugated web can overcome the limits of thickness ratio of normal I-Type beam, and thus has a good economy.Considering the deformation of beam caused by bending moments and shear forces and using the virtual work method, the formula for calculating the maximum deflections of I-Type beams of sine wave corrugated web under the general concentrated forces was derived. And the formulas for calculating the defections caused by the loads of general engineering computation were been given. The finite elements were established considering the geometric nonlinear, the material nonlinear and so on. In the case of clamped and simply supported, the displacements of I-Type beams of sine wave corrugated web bearing the uniformly distributed loads and concentrated loads respecitvly were studied, Then compared the results with the theoretical formulas. Both results fit well, which shows the theoretical formulas are reasonable. Finite element analysis shows that the width of flanges and the height of web are the main factors of the stiffness for I-Type beams of sine wave corrugated web.The design of Portal frames which are composed with I-Type beams of sine wave corrugated web were been given. With a view to the future for this new kind of members in Portal frames of reference for certain applications. Meanwhile compared with the normal I-Type members, so that explained its economic advantages.,...
