Study On Landscape Design Of Urban Square

The landscape of Urban Square, not only represents the city's objective view, but also reflecting the non-objective willing of the city's residents. This kind of willing also comes from people's desire of Urban Square's environment and public way of living. With the growth of urbanization drive and changes of modern lifestyle, The lives of the people are improving every day and their core value is going to run multivariant. Therefore, how to improve the quality of square environment, how to create Urban Square which has its own specific view of comfortable, characteristic and represents spirit of the city is becoming more and more important in the process of urbanization.The study on landscape design of Urban Square especially for the design of elements on the ground surface, including design of rigid pavement, design of height difference land form, detail design of the grand and works of landscape art. The other factor which are related to the square space also play an important role on the square space's objective and spirit. So the design concept of landscape designof urban square can be concluded:To create a specific style of perfect environment not only by fulfilling the basic function of the squares, but also to satisfy various kinds of users' requirement to represent different kinds of social spirit.This thesis is talking about the problems we have nowadays. It combines of multiple, regional and cultural landscape of practice, and emphasizes that how to convey urban cultural and spirit in the work of landscape design. This paper has four parts on:1)The landscape design of Urban Square's explanation, structure, function, specific and history.2)Discussion on the design methods of the landscape of Urban Square from it's form, texture and color.3)Guideline on the relationship between the landscape designof Urban Square and City Spirit, then give suggestions on how to improve the research of the landscape designof Urban Square to get the history, regionalism and spirit of city well expressed.4)What will be the multiple design methods for landscape design contribute to the variety of artistic styles and character of Urban Square in the future.
