The challenges from lack of energy and pollution of the environment have to be faced today. In order to implement the Strategy of Sustainable Development for our planet, renewable and clean energy have been developed and used. PV power, as a method to use solar energy directly, has been developed quickly. However, because of the restrict with low efficiency, one of research hot points is Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), which aims utilizing solar energy as most as possible and PV controller becomes the key component in PV power systems.The task is in the background of larger size of PV power system and higher power level. The multiple PV Controller is provided to reduce current ripples, loss and requirements for power transistor capacity with the reference of the converter from permanent-magnet wind power system. On the basis of original MPPT methods, optimal current based MPPT method with the function of current equalization is provided to use in multiple PV controllers. Based on ripples and costs, available Dual PV Controller Solution is provided, and the second order digital LP filter is designed to optimize performance and cost.The high power dual PV controller model has been established through Matlab/Simulink Software. The optimal current based MPPT is proved available with simulation. The advantage of lower current ripples is also proved with Simulink. Then the experimental system is established on the basis of TMS320F2812DSP from TI. C language is used to write programs. At last, the trouble in debugging is provided and solutions are searched.The paper provides theoretical and practical guide in developing high power PV controllers, and is helpful for improving PV power systems.
