With the development of power enterprise's information construction, the transaction management systems have gained huge amount of power system operating data, which is the valuable resource for decision analysis and management of the power enterprise. While, the unbalance and independent information among power grids and departments makes it difficult to build up information management system and supply the decision analysis. Data warehouse provides a good data environment, which can be used to obtain the decision analysis for the power enterprise.Data warehouse, which is theme faced, integrated and stable database, is used to supply decision analysis service. In this paper, the concept of data warehouse is introduced, of which the structure, content and the technology involved are discussed. The modeling of data warehouse is analyzed. The theme of power system data warehouse is obtained according to the feature of power system. The operating data of transaction management system is unified by data processing to build up the power system data warehouse for supports and decision analysis. The marketing support and decision analysis system for power system is proposed with methods of online-analysis process (OLAP) and data mining. An architecture, which is service oriented and able to supply Web service, is introduced for the modeling of data warehouse. Specification of report and OLAP is analyzed with the consideration of power enterprise's demands.Data warehouse has supplied the supports and decision analysis for the operating and management of power enterprise, which contributed a lot to making the future plan and finding the economical operation and improving the economic benefits for power enterprise.
