Market economy development has enriched the variety of goods, and accelerated the growth of individual customers' needs at the same time. In order to meet the customers' needs better and improve the products' market share, the enterprises have got to produce some individual and customized products. Meanwhile, they need to shorten the delivery time, reduce the product cost and improve the products' quality. The enterprises are required to produce more and more variety of products to meet the order well under the traditional business process. It is hard to implement the objective requirement of rapid products configuration due to the complexity of the product structure. Also, the product variety diversity has caused the production cost held at a high level, and weakened the market competitiveness. The problems above can be resolved by using modular technology. In this paper, a method to support the rapid modular design for the equipment manufacturing enterprises and its computer realization were studied mainly.The paper takes the enterprise which produced gear box as an example to analyze the features of business process in the equipment manufacturing enterprises, proposes the products rapid modular design method and process, and researches into the key technologies of carrying out modular design. The key technologies include module partition method, modular product configuration technology and establishing an evaluation system of configuration scheme. Making a study on preliminary design of fast modular design system for product and doing some work with the software function development; finally, combined with "CL" company JH Series universal gear box as an example, applied the systems preliminarily and obtained relatively satisfactory results, verified the method of fast modular technical feasibility and good prospects. |
