After more than 30 years of reform and opening up, the domestic transport market has a rapid development, truck sales surge year after year, and with the increasing level of China's national economy, people's requirements of automobile comfort is enhanced accordingly. Currently, most of automobils'air-conditionings use compression refrigeration, this cooling method has many probloms, just like:bulky, heavy weight, affecting the vehicle's driving force, changing the cooling effect, etc. Because of the poor working conditions of truck, the compression refrigeration used in truck has more serious problems, like:low efficiency, short service life and leakage of refrigerant. While only 15% of the low profile trucks mainly used in China have air-conditionings, and a considerable portion of which are optional. As an increasingly larger group, truck drivers have urgent need to improve their working environment. With the development of the solar cell technology and semiconductor refrigeration technology, solar energy conversion efficiency and cooling efficiency of the semiconductor have been greatly improved. In response to this situation, this article attempts to use solar semiconductor refrigeration in truck cab, so the article will do experimental study, CFD simulation and economic analysis, so as to analyze it's feasibility.First of all, summarize the status of air-conditionings on automobile especially on truck, the overseas and domestic development of solar photovoltaic power generation and semiconductor refrigeration.Second, analysis the basic principle of semiconductor refrigeration, calculate its best features, and introduce several heat dissipation which are currently been used, note that the heat dissipation will influence the cooling performance of semiconductor refrigeration, provide theoretical basis for the follow-up experiment and simulation.Third, establish an experiment box to simulate a truck cab which has a solar semiconductor refrigeration, mesure the actual cooling effect to analysis the feasibility of semiconductor refrigeration's application.Fourth, calculate cooling load of truck cab in summer, combine with the cooling capacity of semiconductor chip's, the solar power generation of solor cell and the space these equipments share to determine the location of solar semiconductor refrigeration.Fifth, use CFD software to simulate the environment of truck cab which installed solar semiconductor refrigeration. The simulation of the distribution of temperature and velocity, the PMV and the PPD shows that the driver is in comfort environment. By changing the velocity, temperature and perspective of supply air, analysis its'effective factors. Finally, match the various components of solar semiconductor refrigeration which are used in the truck cab. By comparing with the compressed air-conditioning used in trucks, analysis the solar semiconductor refrigeration's economics.
