Solar Semiconductor refrigeration technology is a new refrigeration technology developed on the basis of semiconductor refrigeration technology. This technology has made great progress because of its no refrigerant, no noise, no pollution and other advantages coupled with the shortage of conventional energy and solar energy development, more and more related scholars pay more attentions to this technology.In this paper, with the purpose of improve the efficiency of solar semiconductor cooling box system, several key problems of performance of solar thermoelectric cooling box were researched by theoretical analysis and experimental study. The solar radiation intensity and ambient temperature affecting the solar semiconductor cooling box performance was studied mainly.By building solar semiconductor refrigeration units experiments, the changes of inside temperature of cooling box, consumption power, operating current and other parameters were analyzed in different solar radiation intensity and ambient temperature. According to the knowledge of heat transfer and thermodynamics, the heat transfer process of refrigeration box was analyzed. And cooling system coefficient calculation methods and formulas were obtained too. By this method the cooling performance of solar semiconductor refrigeration units in stable solar radiation intensity with different ambient temperature and different solar radiation intensity with stable ambient temperature was studied.When making solar radiation intensity stabilized, the cooling capacity and coefficient of cooling box will be increased with the ambient temperature increasing. And when making ambient temperature stabilized, the cooling capacity of cooling box will be increased with the solar radiation increasing, but the coefficient of cooling box decreased.The results of this study can make possible guidance and basis for the performance of solar cooling thermoelectric improved. At the same time it can also promote solar energy semiconductor technology developed and make basis for its wide application as soon as possible.
