The causes and mechanism of dry cold pavement disease areas are anylisized based on dry cold areas of Qinghai Province in the National Road GZ215 line of field survey and data collection.By analyzing the causes of pavement disease of the pavement surface to optimize the design of asphalt mixture and pavement performance test, three kind of grades of AC-13 are selected as the subject of the research which have structure of compadness and suspension and widely used. Considering the the climatic characteristics,the tempreture and optimum asphalt content of aslphalt mixure of method of mashall are optimized. What's more,low temperature cracking performace of asphalt mixure are considered as the foucus of the design process and the author investgates the influence and trend of the molding temperatureofasphalt mixure on Mashall index.In addition,the asphalt pavement of dry and cold region of Qin hai pronvince have serious phenomenon of aging,through low temperature bending creep test and low temperature bending test,the paper analysis viarious aging condition for low temperature cracking of asphalt mixure performance. The result shows that aging for long-term have profoud level affect low-temperature cracking of asphalt mixure.considering the complicacy and the comprehensive for test, low-temperature asphalt damage caused by the bending the critical value of strain energy density decay rate can be used as asphalt after aging at low temperature cracking resistance evaluation index.At last, the design principles and process for asphalt mixure of dry and cold region of Qin hai province are summarized,various optimal indactors of index of Marshall method for dry and cold region are recommended.
