| In recent years, with the development of road transport undertakings, the ratio of heavy load vehicles and the volume of traffic in national and provincial arterial highway are increasing in large degree. The damage of the pavement is more serious, and cause the task of overhauling arterial highway exceptionally arduous. Since the composition of the current traffic and axle load conversion method does not reflect the destructive effect of traffic load to the pavement, leading to the overhaul design proposal of pavement structure and the actual transportation demand of pavement mismatch, thereby causing premature damage to the pavement or pavement structure is poor economy. This thesis focuses on the study of the traffic characteristic and parameters of provincial arterial highway in order solve these problems.The paper first chosen a certain number of typical arterial highway in many areas of Shan'xi province, investigated and analyzed the traffic composition and axle load, so we could obtained the vehicle spectrum parameter and the axle load spectrum parameter separately; Meanwhile, take semi-rigid base asphalt pavement as the object, establishes the mechanical model of the arterial highway typical pavement structure, defers to the pavement deflection and the semi-rigid base bottom layer tensile stress fatigue damage equivalent principle separately, GAMES procedure was used to obtain the axis number coefficient through the theoretical calculation, the theoretical calculation results of axis index was checked by the outdoor testing result of testing roads, axis equivalent reduction formulas was made to perfect the design specification of asphalt pavement. Finally unifies the Shanxi Province many arterial highway's vehicle type and the axle load data, according to some path, some region, the entire province three levels, obtained under each level equivalent axle load conversion factor, the vehicles equivalent axle load conversion factor, the path equivalent axle load conversion factor, the standard axle load function number of times. by building the relation of traffic volume and ESAL, the traffic volume could be converted to ESAL conveniently and exactly, we could get the accumulative ESAL in the end of design period and lay the groundwork for the structure design and analysis of pavement. |
