Recently, long-distance water diversion project has been rising, because of the increasing water-consuming in big cities and the scared good water-source after the rapid development of China's economy.The features of these engineering are big-diameter pipes, big flow rate, long distance, lots of brunches, and full of ups and downs.Different from past single-pipe engineering, the construction of long-distance water diversion project is complicated and lots of boundary conditions, and the analysis of water power condition consequently becomes one of the most important water hammer study.Dahuofang water diversion project is a typical case of this kind of engineering.This project is divided into two parts from Anshan pressure station:the up-gravity-force water diversion with double-pipe, and the down-pressure-flow part, which provides water for seven water supply station of six cities, lots of brunches, and full of ups and downs, covering many kinds of boundary conditions of moden engineering.This paper takes Dahuofang long-distance and lots of brunches water diversion project for example, makes water hammer study under every engineering condition, so as to give references for similar projects.Part one, based on the summary available, elaborates briefly and conducts numericalcalculation formula, and builds water hammer calculation model.It studies the existing boundary points in this project, conducts boundary points calculation formula, and builds water hammer calculation model.Part two, summarizes basic data of Dahuofang water diversion project, calculates wave rate and pipe loss coefficients, etc.prepares for water hammer calculation.It analyzes the features of Gas-droplets two phase flow, and finds out the best exhausting way for this project under different engineering conditions.lt puts forward best used water hammer protection measures for reference and analyzes the protection principle and features of these measures.Part three ,uses vc++ language to write water hammer calculation program with the combination of water hammer numerical calculation model and some boundary conditions math models.The principle of programming is focused on easy understanding and good use.Theb basic calculating data of Dahuofang water diversion project is put into the program which the water hammer calculation begins.Part four, after the accuracy of programming calculation has been confirmed, uses the program to calculate the result of protection measures for the worst engineering condition of Dahuofang water division project and water power condition process of different valve operating plan, and concludes a better protection measure and forms a complete set of valve operating plan.
