With China's rapid economic development, urban economic strength and people's living standards greatly improved, the worsening traffic has become the big concern of today's eyes. How to achieve sustainable development of urban road system, both to satisfy the requests for people's travel as much as possible to reduce the government's economic investment has become hot issues, transportation network optimization is being more and more attention.Urban street patterns can not be characterized with a simple regular networks, striking statistical studies in different cities shows that a general mechanism may be in action. The statistical properties of this model are in good agreement with the observed empirical patterns. this paper attempted to make some improvements on existing research and make it more in line with the status of modern urban patterns. This paper studied on the urban street patterns from perspective of urban planning and transportation planning, combining the principle of leaf pattern formation as well as the urban centers interaction principle, taking into account the accessibility, effectiveness and economy. Describe the growth process combination of qualitative and quantitative. Tried to build a more truly street patterns model, in MATLAB7.1 environment simulation, the result was in more agreement with realistic street distribution, a better fit empirical data proved that this model reveals the urban road network following an internal growth mechanism, the model has great guiding significance for urban planning and transportation planning, especially for road planning and reconstruction, as well as other areas, for example, the distribution of nodes and n co-evolution etworks.
