Building is a product of nature in the first place, which is to adapt to the climatic conditions for human beings. But with development of economic, problems which relate to buildings in many respects becoming salient such as energy wastage caused by unlimited use of technology and spreading unchecked of thought trend in modern architecture. The root-cause is people's ignoring the relationship between building and climate. In this background, combined with hot and humid climate features, the thesis obtained strategies of architectural complex surface to adapt to the climate and take further study about factors which influence method to design the surface components to improve indoor thermal comfort and to meet the health and comfort requirements. Going beyond energy conservation and transforming from seeking artificial comfort to pursuing harmony between humanity and nature, the ideals to make lives more humanized and natural will satisfy the demand of sustainable development finally.According to the high tempreture and humidity climate feature in hot and humid region, the thesis defined the main problem for building surface components to adapt to climate was sun shading, as well as lighting and ventilating. It also advanced that the method to study complex surface shade components in hot and humid region should be a process of transform from simple qualitative method to quantitative analysis by building energy simulation. Taking the form, layout and material of the surface shade component as study objects, the thesis focused on exploratory study of it by using simulation softwares including ECOTECT and FLUENT.The study by simulation found that the building complex surface components with different forms, layouts and materials reduced indoor solar radiation, at the same time influenced indoor lighting and ventilation. It was represented by the different data which satisfy indoor comfort requirement on the whole.By analysising simulation of indoor solar radiation, lighting and ventilation influences of building complex surface components with different forms, layouts and materials, this thesis obtained referential design method to accumulate experiences for study of building complex surface components design adapting to climate and to improve the sustainable development of architecture.
