With the development of informatization,demand for electric power is more and more big,the same as the demand for power quality.So it is required that the power company provide continuous, sufficient power.The 10kV distribution network is the most direct link with customers in power system,and the reliability of power supply in the distribution network directly reflect the overall level of electric power industry.70% of the power supply is sent to consumers by the 10kV distribution network, in which that 80 percent of the accident occurred.So the reliability of power supply in the distribution network is one of the the most important part of the reliability in the whole power system.In the junction of the east and southeast Asia, economic development in the Asia-Pacific area is prosperous.In the adjacent of Guangzhou,as which Foshan has the same history and cultural.The two cities are building "the Guang-Fo Economic Circle " in the middle of the PRD(Pearl River Delta),where the economic development is active in China. Nowadays,development of economy is rapid,and demand for electric power is growing big.We need to solve both of the developing problems and those left over by history.Also,we should take some measures and comprehensive control to improve the reliability of the power supply in a short time.Through the systematic analysis and diagnosis,this essay trys to make clear the current situation of the reliability of power supply in the 10kV distribution network,and search probolems which affect the reliability in the basis of finding the internal and external factors.To solve these problems,strategies for technology and management are formulated.Such these measures could improved planning and construction , operation management, technical innovation of power system after half a year through the comparison and analysis of the cause and performance of the reliability of power supply in the 10kV distribution network in 2008 and 2009 in foshan.
