The fatigue performance of asphalt mixes is an important technical parameter in asphalt pavement structure design. The study of asphalt mixes fatigue properties at certain traffic and environment conditions has great guiding significance to pavement design, construction and maintenance. The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the asphalt mixes fatigue performance study.This paper describes several common accelerated loading test methods throughout the world and compares the strongpoint and shortcoming of different facilities and methods.This research adopts the four-point bending testing method and the fatigue testing machine produced by COOPER of the UK. In the loading mode choice, this paper calculated the domestic typical pavement structure with multilayer elastic system theory, the results show that the thick layer of asphalt pavement is more applicable to the stress load control mode.Asphalt mixture laboratory four-point flexure beam fatigue test was processed by controlled stress mode.First of all, in the fatigue performance analysis of asphalt mixture, this study analysis of fatigue parameters with the statistical principles. The results show that the discrete of asphalt mixture specimen fatigue life and cumulative dissipated energy is very highly. Asphalt mixture fatigue life, cumulative dissipated energy and initial modulus data showed a logarithmic normal distribution. This paper has proved two-parameter Weibull distribution theory on the fatigue life of asphalt mixture.Secondly, in this study, the factors considered to affect the fatigue response of asphalt mixes were divided into two groups as external factors and internal factors according to the different properties represented and use of gray system theory to analyse the factors that impacting asphalt mixturefatigue life. The results show that pass rates of the material gradation critical sieve, asphalt species and mixture volume index have a significant effect on the fatigue test results. Again, this study has multiple linear regression on fatigue test parameters with the data analysis software OriginPro7.5 and obtained the regression expressions of the initial modulus, tensile strain and the cumulative dissipated energy. This study analyzes their respective effects and fatigue performance parameters of different types mixtures were compared. Finally, this study analysised the asphalt mixture fatigue damage evolution process of stress control mode and established a relationship between unit load fatigue damage rate and the fatigue life.The fatigue distress prediction of asphalt pavement is based on fatigue performance prediction model of laboratory asphalt mixture research. This study established prediction model of asphalt mixture fatigue performance with other variables such as the initial stiffness, load stress and bending strain and so on and compared of the fatigue life prediction model under the strain and stress control mode. The results show that the relationship between the two have been influenced highly by the material parameters.The achievements in this research validated or discovered laws of stress-control fatigue properties of asphalt mixtures, and these achievements will help deep research fatigue properties of asphalt mixtures.
