The topic—the Design of GPIB Interface Chip and application In Logic analyzer has two main parts: The first part is the design of GPIB interface board based on CPLD; the second part is the design of a programmable logic analyzer to communicate by using GPIB interface. In this, the design of GPIB interface board is using the principle of CPLD+MCU, the design of a programmable logic analyzer is using the principle of FPGA+ARM. Finally, the two parts are composed of a programmable logic analyzer to make the computer control Logic analyzer by GPIB Interface.This paper mainly describles the principle of the software and hardware design of a logic analyzer based on GPIB interface and brings forward scheme. The CPLD design of GPIB interface NAT9914, the principle and design of GPIB interface board and logic analyzer are emphasized in this paper according to the difficulties of the dasign. The software, which is closely related the hardware, is also mentioned in the paper.The first chapter describles development tends of GPIB and logic analyzer in the field of electricity. The second chapter describles the choice of system design scheme, including design scheme of top-level structure and choice scheme of important device. The three chapter describles the design of system, including the hardware of GPIB interface and logic analyzer, bringing the scheme of two MCU communication. The forth chapter describles the design of software, including the software of GPIB interface and logic analyzer, The design of LABVIEW is mentioned also in this chapter. The question and solution in design process are describled in chapter 5. Chapter 6 summarize the whole design and debugging.Testing shows the logic has basic manage ability, as well as AH, SH, L and T of GPIB interface, can make more exploitation and research, and has widely application forground.
