As an important continuous haulage system, the application of belt conveyors has a long time in related areas. With the development of science and technology, the belt conveyors is characterized by considerable lengths and high capacities and belt speed, complicated configurations of a conveyor route are their developing direction for the future. With the development of logistics technology and the increasing cost ratio for logistics on product cost, as a socioeconomic logistics equipment, the application of belt conveyor could become more extensive. Therefore it is significant to make theoretical research and test analysis for belt conveyors.Belt is an important part in belt conveyor, its cost comes up to a half of total cost of belt conveyor. And frictional wear of belt is the main cause for its loss, so it is significant to research frictional characteristic of belt. Principal resistances to motion of belt are produced in the course of relative movement between belt and idlers, and Because of the resistances to the belt's motion in belt conveyors mainly caused by friction and frictional wear of the belt being one of key factors to effect its service life, the paper gives a simple qualitative investigation of frictional characteristic of the belt from its material behavior, Using stimulant coefficient of friction, it could make quantitative analysis for the resistances to the belt's motion caused by friction etc, and design a belt conveyors synthesized testing system.Belt conveyors synthesized testing system is a system under laboratory condition. The common belt conveyors and pipe conveyors are the test subjects of the system. It could test the stimulant coefficient of friction of common belt conveyors under different type of belt, belt width, belt tensile force, belt speed, loaded and assembled trough angle and the stimulant coefficient of friction of pipe conveyors under different type of belt, belt width, belt tensile force, belt speed, loaded and idlers layout. Measurement and control system of the testing system is based on VI(Virtual Instrument) software——LabVIEW, and in consequence it simplifies the hardware of the system, it also enhances human-computer interaction of the system's operational interface.
