Belt conveyors are the major equipments of bulk solids handing, which are widely used in many industries such as electric power, metallurgy, chemical industry, coal, mine, port, building materials. With the development of belt conveyors towards long distance, high speed, long carrying capacity and large driving power, the design calculation work is also getting more and more complex. Manual calculation of the traditional has the features of large amount of computing, more time-consuming and inefficient, making the design of belt conveyor it is very heavy task. Therefore, develops a quite perfect belt conveyer design calculation software, which to be suitable for our country situation quite perfect belt conveyer design calculation software appears very important.This paper compares the similarities and differences between DIN22101 and CEMA, analiyzes the design flow of DIN22101 and builds the structural arithmetic for software compiling. Using Visual Basic 6.0 as the programme tool to compile the general belt conveyors design software, and through software testing and engineering application in the actual proof of the results of the calculation of the correct software sexual.In the input module of the sofeware, compared with the previous form-manually enter the parameter, adding a form that generate the information by graphics, which mainly using the structure of AutoCAD's DXF swap format, through the Visual Basic 6.0 Programming language to design interface program for DXF swap file, the informations are showed on the interface simply and intuitively, it also reducing the tedious manual input process, and improving the work efficiency.Calculates the result of the tention and the safety factor with the multi-driver settings on Head-end, Tail-end and Middle,analiyzes the affect of the drive's location. So as to conclude that how to determine the location. Has certain guiding sence to drive's arrangement.
