According to the characteristics of structure and loading ,the finite element models of some produced integral coach body frame were divided six pieces which include all assembly and established. The beam element model and the shell element model were established by two groups. They were divided into 20mm meshs, and were imposed the same loading conditions and constraints during the static analysis. Comparing with static test results, two finite element models can be used for the static analysis,and the stress of the shell element modal was much closer the test results in leveling and bending condition,and the beam element model can for the design of lightweight.Some finite element model elements of beam elements which before and after the lightweight design were remeshed in the shell element way. The hybrid finite element model of beam and shell elements were bulit in this paper.And then,the fatigue life of some test points were calculated. Finally the quality of body frame were reduced by 95kg under the premise of meeting the structural stiffness, strength, vibration performance, and fatigue life.
