Fault diagnosis of electronic control engine only by means of the fault diagnostic apparatus is not enough, the malfunction of the engine that may occur is various, including structural damage caused by the hard failure, characterized by generally greater amplitude of changes suddenly, and caused as a result of variations of the soft failure is characterized by a general amplitude smaller, changes slowly. Hard place for the engine fault diagnosis, it is more quickly and accurately to determine fault, but for the soft failure in terms of the helpless. Moreover, although it has the data flow fault diagnostic capabilities, being able to read dynamic data, which can be read through the OBD diagnostic connector in engine electronic control system of each sensor or the actuator signal parameters, but the data is processed to the form of communications protocols, some are inaccurate. Even if it is accurate, components can not say clearly that their fault or due to line or mechanical part of the cause, it would appear wrong to judge. Therefore, the failure diagnostic apparatus in terms of speed, accuracy, or increase the data analysis functions have a great deficiency.According to the algorithm requirements, this paper take the Sail engine as the research object , by means of the experimental data curving fitting sensors and applied in the measurement procedure which is designed to convert the voltage value into the effective information parameter.System implemented test system software development based on CompactRIO platform for U.S. of NI. The system applied sensors and actuators in the engine control system, conducted after signal conditioning which collected into the real-time acquisition device, and be able to carry out the corresponding processing, computing and memory. Processing function can be achieved by signal digital filter; computing function can be achieved by signal extraction for effective parameters; the capability of memory function is to achieve long-term preservation of data and playback.This paper advanced intake air temperature, intake manifold absolute pressure, coolant temperature, throttle position, oxygen concentration signal, fuel injection pulse width, crankshaft position, engine speed and ignition timing parameters of the measurement and calculation method, which provides a good basis for the soft fault diagnosis in the engine. The hardware in this systems relied on CompactRIO, the core software relied on the LabVIEW FPGA module and RT module, that made this system having excellent portability, scalability, and the stability of performance.
