The main air compressor (MAC) is a key equipment in air separation unit (ASU). If the MAC shut down or something is wrong with it will lead to the whole air separation unit(ASU) paralysis.MASTEEL 40,000m3/h ASU is one of main projects in his tenth five-year plan. MASTEEL chose The MAN Turbo train which made in switzerland as air turbine. The compressor train is completely imported and all associated documents are written in foreign language.The monitoring of process variables, such as flow, temperature and pressure in the train is so complex. There are so many interlocked operations and DCS instrument control points in the train.This paper focuses on production practice, pays much attention to digestion and absorbability of imported technical project. The author spent so much time in study and research, analyzed the basic structure of MAN Turbo train, studied then researched the application of technical parameter and control system. During the preparation of this dissertation, the work done included:In the first place, the tech-parameter, basic structure and the principle of MAN Turbo train are introduced. The conception and theory of compressor surge are expatiated on, and also the characteristic, the harm and cause of the surge are explained. The compressor anti-surge method and the development of anti-surge control system are also described in this paper.Secondly, LINDE's anti-surge control system are deeply discussed in the paper. Including its function design principle, the definition of anti-surge line and the calculation of set-point value, open and closed loop of control measurement etc.Aiming at the operating characteristic and the future goal of company, integrated the requirement of process operating with system configuration of LINDE ASU, illuminated the pressure control and implement of inlet guide vane and the blow-off valve in MAN Turbo train.Finally, RENK gear unit are selected as representation in mechanism unit, combining the attention items in operating maintenance, some relative knowledge of supervision are used to analyze axial position, vibration, temperature monitoring and etc.The job done in this paper is trying to shorten the "stovepipe" in technology absorption of imported project, hope to take effect in high level production and provide some reference for same industry.
