Hybrid electric vehicle as the transitions product of traditional vehicle to electric vehicle has not only escaped from the technological bottleneck of the electric vehicle but also improved the fuel economy of the vehicle. So hybrid electric vehicle is favored by many vehicle manufactures and research institutions in recent years. The regenerative braking system as a subsystem of the hybrid electric vehicle can restore part of kinetic energy and potential energy during braking. The energy can be used to propel vehicle when the vehicle starts and accelerates. For this reason, the research of regenerative braking system is significative for improving the fuel economy of the vehicle.The braking system for hybrid vehicle is composed of the anti-lock braking system and the regenerative braking system. As the braking force distribution to the front and rear axles has great influence on the braking stability, the regenerative braking force has much more effect on the braking stability. Meanwhile, the regenerative braking force also has much more effect on the original hydraulic anti-lock braking system; consequently the braking safety is also affected.The study work in this paper specific to the integrative control of the anti-lock braking system and the regenerative braking system can be divided into several aspects as follows:First, according to the conventional theory of braking force distribution to the front and rear axles, analysis and research the relation of braking force distribution on the hydraulic braking system. Make sure that the braking force distribution coefficient is a constant which is decided by the braking system structure.Second, Based on the analysis of braking force distribution control strategies of scaling and maximize energy recuperation, the integrative control strategy of braking force distribution is brought forwardNext, the anti-lock braking control logic is designed in the paper for HEV according to the theory-of the logic-threshold control method. And the hybrid electric vehicle integrative braking control system is made through integrating the control logic of antilock braking system and regenerative braking system into a braking control system.Last, the braking system model of HEV is built using the MATLAB/ADVISOR2002 software. Besides, more simulations were carried out under several typical working conditions, and then analyzed the simulation results, proved the rationality and the feasibility of the control strategy.
