The high-mobility tracked vehicle run on the complicated bad road conditions, its speed and equipment quality changed greatly, a variety of driving conditions on the suspension damping requirements are different and changed largely, so needed the damper to limit stroke and damp vibration for improving the ride comfort. At present, high-mobility tracked vehicle has used the rubber damper, the oil damper, the elastomer damper and etc, however, the elastomer damper is the new one. As vibration energy absorbed by the rubber damper is very little, and the rubber damper has slowly eliminated; The using effects of oil damper is good, but its durability and reliability is not good, its oil is easy to spill, and its cost is very high; but the elastomer damper can make up for the shortcomings of oil damper, and can also meet use requirements of the track, and its cost is relatively low. So studying the elastomer damper is very valuable.Because of that the passive suspension system cannot easily satisfied the every road requirements of ride comfort, in this paper, the elastomer damper will designed according to the characteristic of elastomer, and then put it into the passive suspension system and make the high-mobility tracked vehicle running better. This is a significant technological breakthrough.In the research process, used a multi-body dynamics simulation software (Recurdyn) to study. Firstly, identified parameters used in damper that matched with suspension performance, and then made the lectotype design of elastomer damper; secondly, established two degrees of freedom non-linear suspension system model, verified that the model is correct; last established tracked vehicle model, mainly studied influence of the elastomer damper on the high-mobility tracked vehicle. Furthermore, studied the performance of resilient rubber, analyzed the elastomer damper in different working conditions of the road, and discussed the suspension striking force.The results show that this parameterized buffer can improve the suspension system performance. In the same environment, compared with the rigid stroke limit and oil damper, the vertical acceleration of vehicle barycenter had been reduced obviously, and the stroke distance had also been reduced. At the same time, overcame the many shortcomings of the original hydraulic buffer, achieved the desired results, and provided the reference value for further structural design of the buffer, the study has laid a good basis for the high-mobility tracked vehicle model to parameterize the suspension system, it is convenient for the future amendments and research of track vehicle.
