In company with the developing of national economy ,the foundation construction is cosmically evolving. then,more and more high-fill engineering is appearing .But the harsh Garth instance and complicated geologic condition make the side slope engineering very hard to design .In order to met the needs of engineering, associate professor Ye Xiao Ming bring up the concept of self-balancing retaining wall firstly .And all the new theory and technique need to take a long way to be perfect .In these years, the self-balancing retaining wall rose up many problem in the practice of engineering. Our scientific personnel should take the charge to improve on it.The text basing on the study of the advantage and disadvantage of the heavy and light retaining structure and the applicable condition of them absorbs their strongpoint sufficiently, combines the two skillfully and puts forward a new-style slope timbering structure model-self-balanced composite retaining wall .The self-balancing retaining wall have some feature in the construction period .Such as the strength and the stresses of the batter pile are time-varying. The design method which we take to design the self-balancing retaining wall at present may not consider the variation above. So this design method can not make sure the reliability of self-balancing retaining wall in the construction period.In this paper, we take the theoretical principle of construction mechanics and time-frozen method to study the construction period of self-balancing retaining wall which content four disadvantage time intervals .First, construct the batter pile. Second, fill the mud to the top of batter pile. Third, construct the retaining wall. Fourth, fill the mud to the top of the retaining wall. We get the mechanics expression of the four disadvantage time-intervals after the theoretical derivation. Subsequently, we take Midas/GTS to get the numerical simulation of the batter pile and discuss the inclination impacts especially. At last we make sense of the advantage of Balanced-construction method after contrasting the Balanced-construction method to traditional construction method.In this paper we not only introduce the time-varying mechanics to the design of the Self-balanced retaining wall during the construction period, but also bring up the Balanced-construction method which can affect the design of the slope engineering.
