The article's research is a part of the project of the electrically golf vehicle. With the condition to the front suspension of the electrically golf vehicle, on the base of the suspension design knowledge, used Admas/View software modules, study and development the Virtual Design and Test Platform of McPherson suspension applied to similar cars.The purpose and significance of the article lies in establishing a vehicle McPherson suspension of the virtual design platform for virtual simulation test, pioneering a more scientific approach for the design and development of McPherson suspension, combining the automobile design theory, resolving problems in the field of kinematics and dynamics, improving the quality of design. This research will also contribute to enhance the ability to independently develop products for China's automobile industry.The following is the main contents:(1) Firstly, the background of the research and the state of the virtual prototyping technology development in domestic and international was introduced. The design and analysis of he vehicle suspension system is based on the computer-aided design and analysis to reduce development time. The contents and methods of the paper was summarized.(2) Have a detailed analysis for McPherson suspension structure.Introduced the workflow of the Papers, the design methods of spring and damping, a detailed analysis of the suspension-oriented institutions. Prepared a simple calculation procedures for the parameter select of the initial suspension oriented institutions.(3) Introduced the advantages and application scope of ADAMS software, analysis the basic modeling methods theoretical knowledge for modeling, kinematics analysis of the theoretical basis in ADAMS, for the follow-up modeling and optimization analysis.(4) Introduced how to building a model for the half of the suspension in ADAMS/View, make the model parameters, then the model is open, and prepare the necessary measuring function . Discussed the performance of the front wheel alignment parameters in a front wheel vehicle positioning.The model was a virtual front suspension test platform.(5) Analyzed the change trend of the suspension performance parameters in the process of flopping the wheel. The impacts of its changes in the trend of design variables are also analyzed, make an optimized design of the program, with the comparative analysis to verify the feasibility of the optimization program before and after the optimization, the suspension's key data was generated, the virtual design and tested was finished.(6) Summary finally.
