With the rapid development of the national economy and the increasing demand of logistics, the freight transportation is more and more important in people's life. Compared with the freight by train, the automobile can achieve service from one point to another point;compared with freight by air, the automobile freight costs lower. As a result, the automobile freight has become one of the pillar industries of the national economy, and the safety of the freight transportation has become one of the problems for studying.Since that inspection for passenger car develops earlier, the safety detection and diagnosis technology of the truck is usually based on the development of the safety inspection and diagnosis of passenger cars. Truck wheel positioning technology is a very important part in the safety detection and diagnosis technology of truck. At present, the wheel alignment of truck is mainly based on the wheel alignment method and technology of passenger car, so that the accuracy is relatively low. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the method of detection and adjustment of truck's wheel alignment.This paper summarized and analyzed the vehicle wheel alignment parameters, studied the methods of measurement principle of vehicle wheel alignment parameters, and discussed the truck's wheel positioning method used on the market, and then found that commonly there were three types of methods of measurement of truck's wheel alignment: the traditional mechanical measurement method for passenger car; scale measurement; the combination of traditional method of passenger car detection platform and laser gauge. In the research of vehicle wheel alignment detection and adjustment, the methods of wheel alignment were simplified, which can save the labor force, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of the measurement. In the fourth chapter, based on the research above, the Trucksim vehicle simulation test has been done in this paper. With the test platform designing, simulation test scheme, test results output and discussing the effect of adjustment of wheel alignment parameters on vehicle's driving stability has been concluted, and the vehicle wheel alignment parameter adjustment scheme and suggestion has been put forward.
