There will be many non-stable factors appearing when vehicle brakes urgently, for example skidding, off tracking and steering ability losing. Traffic accident is induced by these factors. Non-stable factors are generated by the locked wheels. These non-stable factors can be avoided by Anti-lock Braking System(ABS) during braking, braking distance can be shorten also, and the Safety braking can be guaranteed.Along with the rapid development of the whole-vehicle control technology of modern automobiles, it's demanded that the self-knowledge-rights of automobile electronic products be explored. In order to accelerate the self-technology of our national automobile industry, it's highly urgent to develop the high-technological automobiles electronic product such as the Anti-lock Braking System.The hardware and the software of anti-lock braking system are achieved in this paper. In order to keep the slip ratio around the best slip ratio, the logic threshold control arithmetic is used; the acceleration of wheel and the slip ratio threshold which can adjust the braking press is chosen. The drive circuit of electromagnet valve and pump motor, the circuit for processing wheel speed signal, and the diagnostic circuit are designed based on ARM series single chip LPC2292. The design idea and method of every software module in ABS is set forth.The road experiment of anti-lock braking system in the automobile of CH711A is carried out. The results show the hardware circuit of anti-lock braking system is reasonable and the control strategy of software is accurate and effective. The system which can work steadily and reliably improves the braking performance of the automobiles and can satisfies the need of braking system in automobiles safely.
