The Design Of The Municipal Office Architecture Morphology With The Perspective Of Typology

Administrative office building is one special type of public architecture, which is deeply related to the changes in political and social system. It could express the culture and character of the city, so the spatial morphology and architectural style should express the local culture and local characteristics.Because of globalization, high-technology, information technologies, the geographical boundaries are broken down; building regional boundaries are increasingly blurred. local architectural features are increasingly disappearing for the standardization and commercialization of cities and buildings. Architectural culture and urban culture are faced with the no-distinguishing feature crisis:we see much more same streets and squares, similar cities, so that the city's regional features and characteristics are increasingly disappearing.This paper will tries to solve "globalization", "convergence" problem in architectural design using the architectural typology, particularly for the administrative office buildings.This thesis focuses on municipal architecture, and expands the research about administrative office building with the perspective of typology.It finds out the source and evolution process of the administrative office building in the West and the East, and their ideas and prototypes were analyzed and compared. Furthermore, it not only analysis the development trend of the administrative office building but also show new ideas for the administrative office building.Finally, this paper described the application of architectural typology design in three layers, introduced extraction and conversion of prototype, by analysising the typical cases on administrative office building to clarify principles and method of the administrative office morphology design.This paper uses interdisciplinary cross-study methods with text and illustrations and plenty of examples and theory together in order to sort out the ideological and theoretical building typology, to clearly illustrate the concept and design of architectural typology, to bring some creative inspiration.
