Study On Architectural Restoration Of The Administrative Office Of Governor-General Of Canal-way In The Qing Dynasty At Jining

Governor-General of Canal-way is the highest institution in the governing bodies of the Canal.The place where the officials of Governor-General of Canal-way works and lives was named Administrative Office of Governor-General of Canal-way.It is a very important Canal heritage which witnessed the great achievements of canal management in ancient China.The officials here were dispatched directly from the central government whose rank was always second and sometimes first.Jining,where it was located is also known as the Capital of the Canal for its existence.But with the disappearance of the architectural form of Administrative Office of Governor-General of Canal-way,the historical and cultural information and symbols of a glorious period carried by it has gradually been forgotten.So the author hopes to show more people a splendid canal history of Jining and achievements of canal management of Chinese people by the architectural restoration research on Administrative Office of Governor-General of Canal-way.in addition,the research will fill in the lack of this type of canal heritage and provide basic data for the urban planning of Jining.This research summarized the background and developing process of Administrative Office of Governor-General of Canal-way,and discussed the impact on the city of Jining based on the historical records and the research achievements of contemporary scholars.Then do a research on the existing Administrative Office buildings in China and On this basis,complete the reconstruction of the layout of the Administrative Office of Governor-General of Canal-way in the reference of layout of the urban planning and architectural design method in ancient China.At last,complete the reconstruction of the main building in Administrative Office of Governor-General of Canal-way based on the regulations of wooden buildings in Qing Dynasty,and do a display of the building details and restoration process by computer software.
