With the improvement of economic level and rapid development of highway and transportation, environmental factor and vehicle load have much higher requirements on pavement structure. To solve the problems of fatigue failure, reflection cracking, early rutting damage, short life and low service level of pavement structure on semi-rigid type base in Binhai District, Tianjin. The thesis adopts the combination form of flexible base and asphalt pavement. Based on the investigation of traffic, load, service condition of the asphalt pavement and damage causes it analyses the traffic condition, material parameters, and the composition design of the asphalt pavement on flexible base systemic. Through the research of mechanical response it analyses the law which affects the whole pavement structure when different structure layer parameters changed. And this job affords some instructing advices for reasonable design of asphalt pavement on flexible base. The paper studies on the influence of structural mechanical response of asphalt pavement on flexible or semi-rigid type base under different loads. It analysis the effect on life of asphalt pavement on flexible base under the maximum load or different loads of various vehicles. And it also determines the reasonable structure thickNess of flexible pavement. At last the thesis recommends a structure which fit for the asphalt pavement on flexible base in Binhai District, Tianjin.
