The microwave vehicle is one kind of new bituminous pavement maintenance vehicles, as a part of the microwave curing vehicle assembly, the arm support takes many important structures and components.In vehicles'transportation and active condition it separately withstands many kinds of different complex loads, therefore the arm support's intensity and rigidity is a very vital role in automobile system design. We have carried on the analysis and structural optimization to the arm support through the finite element method, which has an important meaning in enhancing vehicle's performance, reducing the production cost and strengthening the market competitiveness.This article takes the 16TYHB bituminous road microwave curing vehicle structure as the object of study,has calculated the load of each working condition; We used the ANSYS to establish the arm support structure shell model, and has carried on the simplification to it; With the finite element model, we have carried on the vertical analysis to the arm support's typical working conditions, obtained structure's stress and distortion distribution of 5 kinds of working conditions;According to the distortion and stress distribution, we have carried on-the shape optimization to the arm support, which makes the arm support's stress and distortion distribution more reasonable; Then we have used ANSYS modal analysis module to calculate the arm support structure natural frequency and modality mode of vibration; After analyzing the arm support's static state and dynamic property, we have established the arm support's parametrization model, takes the arm support parts' thickness size as the variable, takes the arm support's quality as the goal to carry on the optimization design, obtained the arm support structure lightweight design result, the arm support structure quality is reduced noticeably.
