Research On Commercial District Parking Problem And Countermeasure In Hohhot

The car industry is one of the important component of national industrialization. Auto's quick access to the family leads us into the era of car, and brings directly to the urban traffic pressure. As the long-term transport infrastructure is weak, especially parking facilities, and for a long time many cities'parking supply and demand is being in a fragile dynamic equilibrium state. Rapid growth of cities in the number of cars has not only brought enormous pressure to the dynamic traffic, but also broke the fragile balance between the static traffic. A shortage of land, with construction of parking spaces and a serious shortage of public parking spaces, lead to the city's growing parking problem, particularly in the central business district.As the capital of Inner Mongolia, Hohhot is also faced with these issues. In this paper, the author take lessons from mature experience at home and abroad, combined with the physical characteristics of Hohhot city, considering the current needs and long-term development of the relations, the central business district's parking facilities planning and parking management, etc., relevant recommendations.In this paper, analyzing the data surveyed from 15 large buildings parking facilities in Zhongshan Road, Hohhot, the author obtained that there are main issues as follows:parking facilities built with buildings are in short supply of berths, parking management systems regulations are failed to effectively induce, parking facilities built with buildings are inadequate and unreasonable occupation. Then linked with the unique traffic behavior characteristics, Central Business District parking behavior characteristics and influencing factors are analyzed, the parking demand forecasting methods are introduced by the numbers, and a general planning principles and planning procedures of the car park are given.Car parks built with construction are in the majority in urban. In the park development plans for different types of buildings, rational planning and design with construction of parking facilities, can achieve the objective of "the static against the dynamit". The construction of city buildings with parking system planning and design process is introduce in details in this fourth chapter, combined with parking standards with buildings in major cities and the actual situation of Hohhot, parking standards with buildings in Hohhot are given. At last, concluded with the parking situation in Hohhot, relevant planning and policy recommendations are proposed.
