With the flying development of society and economy,the architecture,industry,the structure reinforcement technique and reinforcement formulation flourish unparalleled.However,the wall strengthening with steel meshed cement mortar has been widely used.Although has been widely used,ect,investigation on seismic behavior(carried out)of masonry wall is still lack of studying on its strengthening dffdct.Aimed at this instance,Professor Tianxian Wang of Chang An University has processed much elementary research on seismic capability and strengthening effect of wall strengthed with steel(orthogonal and diagonal bar)—meshed cement mortar. An experiment of four KP1 masonry walls was carried out.the wall was under low cycle reversal load till shear failure and then the cracked wall was stengthened with steel mesh mortar and tested under lower cycle reversal load,The result of the study has testified it an efficient measure to lay steel mesh cement mortar in to masonry brick wall for entirely improving seismic stength.Therefore,base on the experiforces,the formulation for calculating the crack load and limit load brick masonry wall reinforced by steel mesh cement mortar is advanced,which provides project reference.Based on the analysis and stndies of masonry shearing stength,test of priestessed single brick masonry wall,test of priestessed brick masonry house,and test of wall stengthened with steel meshed cement mortar models,and ect,the article has carried through several aspect as below:1. Research the wall cracks, bearing capacity and failure mode under cyclic loading with reinforcement by steel meshed cement mortar,and compare with no reinforcement in under cyclic loading.2. Analyzed the appearance and development of cracks,failure mechanism,and strength and ductility of the strengthened masonry (orthogonal and diagonal bar) wall.3. The design method of the brick wall strengthened with steel mesh cement mortar is proposed.
