Masonry structure has a long history and high utilization rate, which is still widely existed in our city and countryside. However, the service time of masonry structure buildings in the city is generally long. With the continuous improvement of the standard requirements, the seismic performance of some buildings cannot meet the requirements. The construction of masonry structure in rural areas is not reasonable enough, inadequate construction level and long service life.Using cement mortar for masonry structure reinforcement obvious advantages, its construction limited conditions, economy less than other strengthening methods better, and reinforce the effect is remarkable characteristics are often used in the structure reinforcement, the application prospect is very broad. At present, our country has a lot of scholars have studied the reinforcement method, has obtained certain research results, but because of the test conditions of each test, loading method, the construction level there is a certain difference, the research results obtained to form effective and unified,so the surface before and after reinforcement cement mortar for the use of brick masonry wall were studied. In this paper, the present research results are summarized, and the research methods are discussed in this paper, and the research direction of this experiment is clarified. Then for 36 pieces before and after the strengthening masonry brick wall to carry on the grouping contrast test, with the strength of the masonry mortar, masonry wall thickness, reinforcement layer thickness and wall under the vertical compressive stress as the parameters of the test variables, using quasi static loading test, through the analysis of the parameter variables to test the influence of the wall, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Using the cement mortar layer reinforcement method can make the wall damage type change, especially the wall under the vertical compressive stress under the condition of high, the destruction of the wall after reinforcement type more for better ductility destruction of swing and sliding failure. Moreover, the hysteresis curve of the wall is more full after the reinforcement of the surface layer, and the energy dissipation capacity of the wall is better than that of the unreinforced wall, and the stiffness degradation rate is slowed down.(2)The seismic performance of the wall reinforced with steel mesh cement mortar is better than that of the reinforced concrete mortar. In the process of loading, due to the reinforcement of Rachel in surface, the surface parts and brick wall are more likely to form an effective force as a whole, more is not easy with brick wall,at the same time in the surface layer of reinforcement can also make the bearing capacity of the wall after, energy dissipation, stiffness and ductility, etc in with plain cement mortar reinforced wall is used to contrast the advantage.(3)Vertical compressive stress on performance exists in the wall, with the improvement of by vertical compressive stress, shear damage walls are more likely to happen, for the wall of energy dissipation and wall ductility will produce adverse effect, but with the improvement of wall vertical compressive stress, wall bearing capacity and stiffness will also increase.(4)In this paper, the existing literature, the calculation method for calculating the bearing capacity of masonry brick wall shear are summarized, and found that the existing formula of certain difference exists among the calculation results and the applicability of the formula is more general. Therefore, based on the experimental data of this experiment,a better calculation formula of applicability and accuracy is obtained through fitting. Finally, some Suggestions are put forward by summarizing the problems in the experiment and the points needing attention.
