Application Of Traditional Chinese Architecture Elements Into Modern Landscape Architecture Design

With 5,000 years'history of civilization, China has got the brilliant ancient architectural culture tradition, how to inherit and learn the essence of traditional architectural culture and employ it into the design of modern landscape architecture is an important issue we currently face.This paper first reviews the modern Chinese and foreign architects'progress on the inheritance of traditional culture and architectural innovation and comes to the knowledge how they show their own traditional architecture culture.The paper discusses respectively the typical characteristics of the environment viewpoint of Traditional Chinese architecture, the constitute elements of style, the spatial characteristics elements and the technical symbolic elements, and makes an intensively exploration to traditional architecture's deep connotation and external structure. By analyzing the practical examples of traditional Chinese architecture elements on the Modern Landscape Architecture design, it sums up the tradition heritage and innovative ways and means of modern Chinese landscape architecture design, which is mainly studied in the following ways:(1) to further sublimate the environment concept of "Nature and Man in One"; (2) to recover or reconstruct the famous landscape architecture in history; (3) to employ modern materials, technology and imitate the form of traditional architecture in creation; (4) to extract visual language similar to traditional forms from traditional architecture elements and organize it effectively into modern landscape architecture; (5) to explore and enhance the local culture to create a significant local-style landscape architecture.On the basis of the practical design of landscape architecture of Shengshi Huazhang in Changsha, it finally discusses varies means of practical application in the design of modern landscape architectural.It's valueable that the paper provides detailed information for the inherited design of landscape architecture, gives new life to the traditional architectural language, expands the study scope of landscape architecture, and puts forward to an effective way for new Chinese-style landscape architecture design.
