As the world's fastest growing renewable energy, wind energy attract the world'sattention. And using wind energy to generate electricity is of great significance for sustainabledevelopment and improvement of ecological environment. Wind power converter technologyis an important part of wind power technology which can convert variable amplitude andfrequency AC power from wind generator output into other suitable power, and also canachieve the dynamic adjustment to the output voltage, current, active power and reactivepower.As one of the key technologies of wind power, converter technology has become thehot area of wind power research topic.This paper mainly studied the rectifier for wind power generation system withdirect-driven permanent magnet synchronous generator based on the current research of therectifier and the analysis of the development of the rectifier for the wind power generationsystem. The main contents include:1. Analyze the basic structure and principle of direct drive permanent magnetsynchronous wind power system, elaborate the advantages and disadvantages of commonrectifier topology used in direct drive wind power system, select the main rectifier circuittopology which meet the demand of article's direct drive permanent magnet synchronouswind power system.2. Analyze the single-cycle nonlinear control theory, propose an improved single-cyclecontrol strategy, and discussed principle of full-bridge converter in detail based on improvedsingle-cycle control strategy.3. Have a simulation of the rectifier device system with single-cycle control strategy,give the relevant circuit simulation waveforms and analysis results, and verify the feasibilityof the control strategy.4. Design rectifier device for direct drive permanent magnet synchronous wind powersystem, including the rectifier circuit, control circuit, auxiliary power supply and multi-outputparallel rectifier circuit, and build the experimental prototype, accumulate a lot of hardwaredesign and debugging experience for the subjects.The research of this paper was supported by the key Project—"study of mixed controlabout distributed wind power-solar power system" from the National Natural ScienceFoundation of China(60534040) which undertook by Guangdong Key Laboratory of CleanEnergy Technology of South China University of Technology.
