Scientific and rational planning is not only the guarantee of power supply reliability and power supply economy in distribution network, but also the premise and foundation of perfect grid structure. It involves huge construction engineering, smaller individual investments and lager overall investments in Urban distribution network planning, which makes the evaluation on the planning project necessity and implementation effect very difficult. Currently, the investment benefit analysis plays more and more important role in distribution network planning, and besides the power supply benefit caused by additional load, the most important parts in investment benefit are the improvement of network structure, the development of power supply reliability and the reduction of comprehensive line loss.At present, the design of reliability theory evaluation algorithm is often in view of the clear network structure, which needs detailed record of precise structure and user's distribution, but because of relatively coarse network structure, it's difficult to obtain and record the structure information in reliability calculation. There is the same problem in line loss calculation software, which not only needs the information of precise structure, but also needs the operational data of actual load and power to finish the calculation. Therefore, it is necessary to propose a properly simplified but relatively precise algorithm accounting reliability evaluation and line loss evaluation.The urban distribution network planning and the planning evaluation methods are studied in the paper, according to the author's practical work in the project of ZhuHai"twelfth five"distribution network planning and academic research of evaluation algorithms on the planning grid.The basic theory and principle of the distribution network planning is studied in the first part. Then, it focuses on the existing reliability evaluation algorithm and planning network's characteristics in the third chapter, and derives a set of simple and effective formula accounting line capacity constraint, which is applicable to the reliability evaluation on overhead network and cable network.In the light of the operation data characteristic, such as energy shortage data, the paper put forward a simple and practical method to calculating the line loss of planning grid. Moreover, taking 10 planning feeders in Xiangzhou district of Zhuhai city for example, it makes comparison between the proposed method in the forth chapter and the RMS current method based on the result of theoretical line loss.Finally, the paper makes comprehensive planning on the distribution network in Xiangzhou district of Zhuhai city by adopting the above research achievements. In addition, it presents the comprehensive evaluation of the planned target network.These researches in this paper have good guidance significance and appropriate engineering value in meticulous planning and project evaluation of distribution network.
