Housing as an important carrier of spiritual and material civilization is no longer a pure sense of shelter, a place where more people need to meet the health, ecological, comfortable and safe living space.However, due to modern society, population growth,resource decreasing, environmental pollution,ecological damage seriously, the traditional mode of extensive residential development not only failed to improve the human environment, to a large extent has also accelerated the further deterioration of this phenomenon. In such circumstances, the pursuit of economic and environmental benefits are good, the pursuit of people, housing, environmental harmony "modern eco house" is adopted.The thesis is divided into five chapters three parts,from the background,theory, practice three levels,gradually in-depth study of modern China's construction of basic ecological residential background, theoretical basis and ecological use of traditional residential housing under the concept of the evaluation criteria of modern ecology and design principles,practices.Part 1 of the background papers.The first chapter contains the main discussion at present of our resources,environment and housing status,as well as research purposes, significance, methods and frameworks.Part 2 of the theoretical papers.Contains chaptersâ…¡andâ…¢, the first in the second chapter discusses the traditional culture of China's impact on the traditional houses,and then summarized the ecological features of traditional houses,followed in Chapterâ…¢discusses the concept of eco-housing, basic characteristics and elements and the development of foreign eco-building ideas and dynamics of domestic eco-house research and summarize the difficulties of modern eco-house design and technical elements.Part 3 papers for practice. Contains chapters IV and V, in the fourth chapter discusses the concept in ecology under the guidance of traditional houses,with some of the existing eco-house as the basis,then under the "technical requirements for environmental labeling products-eco-housing (settlements) "HJ/T 351-2007 summarized the requirements of the evaluation of modern eco-housing standards and design principles,practices.Finally, the fifth chapter into the Plum Garden, St. Christopher Griffith ecological residential area for detailed analysis.
