Heptfluoride Propane(FM-200)gaseous fire extinguishing agent is efficient to put out fire and it is environment friendly.More and more important places in China need to be protected by FM-200 fire extinguishing system.The situation at home and abroad of gaseous agent design calculation and the numerical simulation of nozzle are presented by the paper.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the fire extinguishing mechanism,fire-fighting efficiency and toxicity of FM-200 agent, FM-200 gaseous agentis is the relative ideal choice for fire protection both at home and abroad.With the engineering practice,based on the analysis of the properties and patterns of FM-200 agent and the fixed fire extinguishing system,the reasonable design quantity of the system fire extinguishing agent has been defined. Based on the discussion of the design concentration and the distribution patterns of the system pipe networks,the conditions and requirements for consideration in the engineering design have been analyzed.The 3D geometric model of nozzle JP-36 is done according to actual project parameters. Then the nozzle model is introduced into the Gambit software and meshed,made reasearch of key steps before application of Fluent software,such as boundary setting,solution computation,ect.The mesh file is introduced into FLUENT software,it could be cauculated after setting boundaries.we could get the velocity vector distribution and streamlines distribution of each region through the numerical simulation inside and outside flow field of nozzle.After performance analysis,we could draw a conclusion that this nozzle achieve the goal of total flooding fire extinguishing system in discharge results of this project. The data of the study can be taken as references by optimize design of the Heptfluoride Propane gaseous fire extinguishing.
