Wind power is paid great attention to by more and more countries as renewable resource and pollution-free energy resource. many high-tech are used to develop and utilize wind power resources, which improve the efficiency of wind power and electric power conversion quality, lower cost of wind power, the clean and renewable energy sources gradually replace traditional fossil fuels to improve the human living environment and enhance the people's living standard has significant economic and social values. In this paper, central control system as one of the key technologies in wind turbine power control system are researched and designed in application.The theory of electric control system of Wind Turbine Generator are described first in the paper, several variable speed constant frequency(VSCF) control methods of wind turbine generator are also introduced, and the functions and system control process of the central control system are analyzed, based on which, the input and output signals of central control system are detailedly analyzed according to the control requirements of electronic control system, also the type of communication interface parts are determined. In hardware, each part of the controller model and the corresponding hardware are selected based on CX1020 programmable controller of BECKOFF. In software, On the basis of the TwinCAT software of BECKHOFF and the idea of modularized software design, the main flowcharts of Central Control System are given, especially on basis of study of pitch and yaw control theories, the flowcharts of both are designed. The corresponding part of programme code written by the simulation and experiment, which proved that the feasibility and correctness in software and hardware of the central control system.Finally, several aspects in reliability design of Electronic Control System are elaborated, including hardware and software, safety chain protection, Lightning protection, grounding protection and so on.
