With the rapid development of science and technology and extensive application of engineering science, there is an advanced development in electrical engineering technology, especially in computer technology for the power network of online scheduling and control. The reform of electricity market for power network security control brings up a higher demand. These changes require us to be able to conduct more comprehensive, faster and more accurate calculation and analysis, which requires support of power network analysis theory and computer methods. Therefore, the subject is placed on a research agenda.In this thesis, the power network analysis software is developed and designed by using Visual C++ as a development platform. The graphics platform framework of power network primitive edited software is established. The basic models of primitive software and the primitive edited function is realized, and primitives which are used for the calculation of power system are designed, including bus, power lines, circuit breakers, switches, generators, loads, transformers, reactors and capacitors. The wiring diagram of power system can be edited by this software. In power system primitive edited process, the property pages of primitive are designed, so that the parameters of power system can be modified. Storage functions of primitive names and relevant parameters are realized.Topology identification is conducted for the power network, and connections of primitives are created automatically. The graphics and calculations of the exchange and unity are achieved by the graphical interface and messaging. In this thesis, topology analysis based on graphs to trees to binary trees is used. First of all, the power system wiring diagram is coded, and graphs are formed. Then graphs are changed into trees. Finally, trees are changed into binary trees. The calculation efficiency of power network is enhanced greatly by using lists of binary tree structures.The study and exploration is conducted for distribution network reconfiguration algorithm. In this thesis, the improved branch-exchange algorithm is used for distribution network reconfiguration. The contact switch is considered one time in traditional branch-exchange algorithm. The improved algorithm can deal with a number of independent topology adjustments, and simplifies the formula for calculating the transfer load to greatly shorten the processing time and simplify the calculation process.
