Thermal fatigue phenomenon means that when material's temperature happens to vary or the constringency of material is subjected to restraint, material inner creates thermal stress because of distortion. When the temperature of material happens to circulating variety, the thermal stress also varies following it. So the material is broken. The phenomenon extensively exists to different kinds of trade and materials. The conventional thermal fatigue test stand uses induction heating system. This way only fits several materials, and is not fit for nonferromagnetic material. The research purpose of this subject settles material selectivity of the conventional thermal fatigue test stand and develops a new kind of the infrared ray heating thermal fatigue test stand. This subject roots in China weapon industry group the seventh graduate school. This article introduces mostly the test stand's mechanical structure, controlling system and supervisory system.By researching other thermal fatigue test stand in our country and advanced thermal fatigue test stand in foreign countries, aiming at practically things, the test stand's mechanical structure, controlling system and supervisory system are designed by a new way.Firstly, I design the test stand's mechanical structure including thermal fatigue specimen, holding device, heating system, cooling system, thermometric device, and mechanical driving device. Secondly, the article introduces the basic knowledge of automation and advanced control technique, including the classification of automation system, the introduction of programmable controller and industry computer, the difference of programmable controller and industry computer, and the method of programmable controller controlling stepper motor. Thirdly, by the practically things of newly designed test stand, I design a newly test process. And by the process, using programming tool compiles controlling software. What's more, using VB compiles test stand's supervisory software, combining special communication agreement. Finally, the article introduces the hardware connection of test stand's controlling system.This system uses the NAIS programmable controller as control core, and chooses NAIS FPWIN—GR V2.7 professional programming tool establish controlling software. The supervisory system's hardware is industry computer, using NAIS OPEN PROTOCOL MEWTOCOL establish software. All these and test stand's mechanical parts compose an organic whole, which make real time control and monitoring to the thermal fatigue test. Because the thermal fatigue test's procedure, designing to this thermal fatigue test stand, is composed of two parts. Both controlling software and supervisory software are composed of two parts.As a further development of thermal fatigue test stand, this system try to be fit for different kinds of material and be more intelligent, introducing foreign advanced technology, considering domestic production level. It is a new, integrated, smart, thermal fatigue test stand.
