Power transformer is the key equipment in the power system, and its operation directly influences the safe operation of the system. Over the years, the operational status of the transformer at home and abroad is mainly through the study of preventive tests and regular maintenance, hard to realize that the existing problems. In order to improve the grid self-healing capabilities, how to on-line monitoring data and related historical data, to achieve the transformers and main equipments maintenance, has become the focus of research experts at home and abroad, and has the important theoretical and realistic significance.Based on the analysis of the factors those affect the transformer running state, on the basis of standing in the scientific, ranging from preventive test data, the monitoring data and historical data, the evaluation index system of the state is established. Introducing the fuzzy matter-element and Euclid approach degree, the comprehensive evaluation model of transformer is determined based on the matter-element theory, and the membership functions of the assessment index are clear.Based on expert analysis and using of analytic hierarchy process, the paper gave the initial weights of the various features. Using matter-element theory, and introducing the expert validity with matter-element theory, from the transformer condition assessment index system of the bottom, the weight coefficient of each characteristic is organized and stratified to calculate. The position of each index in transformer condition assessment process is reflected objectively and reasonably, and the defect of the AHP is overcome. Finally, an example was presented to demonstrate that the comprehensive evaluation model of the transformer based on the matter-element theory is feasible. This model can well be state organically, and effectively overcome the incompatibility between the different indicators. The evaluation process is simple. This method has good maneuverability and popularization, and has certain directive significance in the maintenance work of electric power sector.
