For a long time, many civil buildings and bridges in service construct with reinforced concrete and steel have suffered diseases becuase of the change of operating conditions, error of design and construction, hazard loads , environmental effect,and so on, Which have endangered personal safety and transportation, need for repair, reinforcement and strengthening. Traditional reinforcement methods and techniques is relatively mature, they also have different defects or limited range of applications, but its biggest drawback is being solve the problem of corrosion of steel. To address this problem, the recent 20 years, people have gradually turned their sights on the new types of advanced composite materials, especially fiber reinforced plastics.Based on many specimens results of the shear bond test of steel plate and FRP, the faillure process and characteristics of bond test are described, and characteristic of the stress distributionn is discussed.The calculating formurlas of ultimate bond strength and the effective bond length are established according to experiment results and former conclusions,and the comparisons are carried out among calculated results and test results, which is anastomotic.completed the flexural performance tests of the H-steel beams strengthened with prestressed CFRP plates, studied the factors will influence reinforcing effect and analysed the strength utilization ratio of prestressed CFRP plates compared with the strengthened H-steel beams with non-prestressed CFRP plates.To compensate for lack of experimental research, used the non-linear analysis function of ANSYS to make finite element analysis of the above-mentioned tests, the analysis results are in good agreement with the experimental results.The steel beams strengthened by the Prestressed FRP are analyzed with the theory of composite beams.Thus, the formulas about the bend strenghth of the tested beams are derived. The results of theoretical analysis are in good agreement with the experimental ones.
